Mark was appointed as a consultant surgeon in the UK 1996 and after 25 years in that role took up a public and private practice in Jersey in 2022.

The majority of his specialist practice is in vein and hernia surgery. He treats unsightly, uncomfortable or complicated varicose veins and thread veins, using microsclerotherapy, foam sclerotherapy (injection treatment), VNUS Closure Fast (RadioFrequency ablation) and conventional vein surgery. He also treats complex vascular disease including carotid and limb circulation problems including leg ulceration.

He treats all types of primary and recurrent hernia including inguinal, femoral, umbilical and incisional, under local or general anaesthetic, usually using mesh repair with laparoscopic (keyhole) or conventional open surgery.

Mark works in private practice in Jersey, and will see patients from the other Channel Islands, consulting and carrying out minor procedures at the Elite Surgical Centre based within the Lido Medical Centre, St Saviour Road, Jersey, and operating at the General Hospital, St Helier, Jersey.
